Happy Birthday Levi!!!

It really is hard to believe, but Levi turned 1 yesterday. Courtney and I were looking back at his pictures and videos from last year and it is so hard to believe how much he has grown. From a little 7 pound baby (w/ 3 pounds of hair) to a 23 pound little dude, it has certainly been an amazing journey. And even though there were some not-so-fun times (being up in the middle of the night, teething, all the crying, etc.) I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I love my little man so much and I feel so blessed to have him.

But, unfortunately for Levi, his first birthday was not the best experience. He came down with a temperature yesterday of 102, and has not been himself. We think it is due to teething (he is drooling worse than Prince) but we're keeping a close eye on him. So he wasn't in the best of moods on his birthday, but he stuck it out like a trooper. He was intrigued by all his gifts and seemed to enjoy all of them. By the time cake and ice cream rolled around he had all he could take and was in no mood to try them for the first time. Hopefully when he feels better he can enjoy them.

Again, thanks to everyone who reads our blog for updates on Levi and the rest of our family (but mostly Levi). Here are some recent pictures (and a video) for you to enjoy!

Levi enjoying sand for the first time (and yes, that is sand on his lips).

When he learns how to ride one of these things, look out.

Hanging out with cousin Maya.

Enjoying bath time on his birthday.

He is going to be tearing all around the house on this thing.

Getting ready to enjoy the cool cake mom made.

It was all a little too much for our sick little guy. Get better soon Levi!!

Not quite your typical 1 year old's reaction to his first piece of cake.
I'm sure it would have been much different if he was feeling better.

4th of July fun

On the 4th of July we traveled up to Alma to a Freed family reunion (Courtney's dads side of the family). There were so many little kids running around it was unreal. Levi had a fun time with everyone and especially enjoyed playing in the dirt.

In addition, Levi has started walking more and more. Today he set a record by taking 10 steps in a row before toppling over. He also had his 3rd haircut today so he can look nice and dapper for his 1st birthday which is coming up soon! Hard to believe that he is almost a year old already....where does the time go?

Enjoy the pictures...

A familiar site....Levi trying to dig the lemonade cans out of the cupboard.

Trying to impress his friend Olivia by making his kissy face.

Courtney's grandma holding baby Maya.

Trying to imagine what life would be like with two kids...umm...not yet.

Sitting on a mini-bench and playing with a rubber ball.

That is one sharp-looking kid.
